TJ - the opportunity is more about taking advantage of the bad publicity that Apple and the iPhone has suffered as a result of Friday's launch.

A technical hitch for just a couple of hours yes, but one that has produced over 2,000 negative news articles (Google News) and countless more unhappy customers.

Those will do more damage to Apple than the customers they lost as result of not getting their house in order a couple of days ago.

"competitors will now doubt see this as an opportunity to kick Apple while their down"

Hyperbole, Hyperbole, Hyperbole! Apple has a technical problem for a few hours - and this somehow opens up an opportunity for competitors? What are you smoking? And what exactly is the opportunity - quicker activation of phones that nobody wants? Yeah, that's a real game changer!
