Golf Sale Sign Sale…This Way
Come August, one of the ugliest blights on London’s landscape will finally be removed, or at least outlawed. That’s right, the “Golf Sale” sign will be no more and it couldn’t go quick enough.
I know we all have to make a living but seriously how effective are these? Ignoring the 14% fact, who wanders down Oxford Street wishing they knew where the nearest £3 Chinese buffet is, or goes on the hunt for a sheepskin (seriously?) coat with 70% off? And has anyone ever actually been to or even seen a golf sale!?
100 “boarders” (according to thelondonpaper) will soon be jobless which is a negative by-product of the clean-up but it is a decision that will benefit millions of residents and tourists.
But how will I know when I’m almost back to the office without the “voted best Thai restaurant by Thai tourist (board sign”?! It’s a landmark (the sign, not the restaurant, the restaurant looks just awful!)
